MATERIAL PRINCIPLES

Every fabric, stitch, and finish is chosen with textural integrity in mind.
ARCHFIEND® designs are meant to wear in, not wear out.

We use:

Organic cottons with raw-edge grain
Recycled synthetics with high-mobility tensile strength
Carbon-low ink systems for monochrome imprint
Reactive dyework that responds to skin, air, and motion
Uncoated metals that tarnish beautifully

Your garment will not remain static.
That’s the point.

CARE DIRECTIVES

The following are not “recommendations.”
They are structural protocols. Break them at your own risk.

WASHING

Turn all garments inside out
Use cold water only
Opt for gentle, pH-neutral detergent
Hand wash when possible; machine on delicate only
Never wash with synthetics or chemically treated fabrics

ARCHFIEND® fabrics do not coexist peacefully with friction-based appliances.
Treat your garment like a manifesto — not a mop.

DRYING

Do not tumble dry.
Air dry flat or hang with minimal sun exposure
Do not wring, twist, or force dry
Avoid wire hangers — they warp silhouettes

Heat is violence.
Let time and gravity do the work.

IRONING & STEAM

Steam only — low setting
Ironing is discouraged unless annotated as acceptable per garment tag
Do not steam printed graphics directly — place cloth barrier if needed

Form is meant to breathe, not be crushed under heat.
Wrinkles are evolution, not error.

STORAGE

Store flat or hang in well-ventilated, low-humidity environments
Do not compress in vacuum bags
Keep away from mothballs, fragrance oils, or acetone-based products
Avoid overexposure to UV — pigment degradation is irreversible

Garment as relic.
Garment as architecture.
Store accordingly.

NOTES ON AGING

ARCHFIEND® garments are not built to remain perfect —
they’re built to evolve.

You may see:

Gradual fading of ink
Fraying along untreated seams
Softening of structure over time
Tonal shift in reactive dyes

These are not flaws.
They are timestamps.
Your body leaves its imprint. The piece documents it.
